Warrant Gives Reason for Cops to Search Weasenforth: Coke Found

At 2:05 a.m. Oct. 20, TFC Quade stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 235 at Exploration Park Drive in Lexington Park.

Upon contact with the driver, Shane Richard Weasenforth, 24, of Lexington Park, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. A check through NCIC showed Weasenforth had an outstanding arrest warrant through the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Weasenforth was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed a plastic bag containing cocaine in his pants pocket.

Weasenforth was taken to the detention center, served with the warrant and charged with possession of cocaine and DUI. He was held pending a bond review.
