On Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 7:50pm, TFC E. J. Page served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-15357) on Jacob Roy Wilkins, 19, of Charlotte Hall. The warrant was issued on February 6, 2012 by the Circuit Court of St. Mary’s County. The warrant was issued with an original charge of 2nd Degree Child Abuse as a result of a Grand Jury Indictment. Mr. Wilkins turned himself into the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center for service and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
Mr. Wilkins has entered a Not Guily plea and his case is scheduled to go on trial on June 26, 2012. A waiver of formal trial has been requested, as well as a demand for speedy trial.
