Whitney Bradley and Brown, Inc. (“WBB”) is a federal consulting firm based out of Reston, VA with a large presence in Southern Maryland supporting the Patuxent River Naval Air Station and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). Part of our mission at WBB, as many of our employees are veterans themselves, is to give back to our community, especially to those who have proudly served – and sacrificed for – our country.

This year, our local office at Pax River is hosting a Family Fun Day and Silent Auction at the Greenwell Foundation in Hollywood, MD to benefit the Warrior Canine Connection (WCC). WCC is a 501(c)(3) organization (45-2981579) that utilizes clinically based Canine Connection Therapy to help wounded Warriors reconnect with life, their families, their communities, and each other. Based on the concept of Warriors helping Warriors, WCC’s therapeutic service dog training program is designed to mitigate symptoms of PTSD and TBI, while giving injured combat Veterans a sense of purpose, help in reintegrating back into their families and communities, and a potential career path as a service dog trainer. Among other support locations, WCC currently provides its program to recovering Warriors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC).

WBB is proud to host this family- and dog-friendly event on 19 April 2015. The day will include wine tastings, live music, and a silent auction for the adults as well as face painting, kid’s games, and other fun activities for the children in attendance. The goal of this event is to provide an opportunity for the local Pax River community at large to learn more about how they can support our Veterans, and to enjoy a day of camaraderie and family themselves while supporting an extremely worthy cause.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-13, and free for children under 5. Tickets can be purchased in advance through our EventBrite site, or on-site the day of the event. Those that are interested in supporting the event but are unable to attend may provide a monetary donation to the charity through the EventBrite ticketing page.
