The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory which is in effect from 10 a.m. Tuesday until 2 a.m. Wednesday.
A low pressure system off the New Jersey Coast will intensify as it moves North through New England today and then into Eastern Canada tonight. This area of low pressure will help to produce strong gusty winds across the mid-Atlantic.
Northwest winds are expected to increase to 20 to 30 MPH by late morning with gusts around or just above 45 MPH. These winds are expected to last through the evening hours.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Winds of this magnitude may also bring down tree limbs and power lines.
TheBAYNET.com is asking all of its readers who are out on the roads today to operate with extra caution.
