Wet Roads Precipitate Multiple Crashes

Wet weather likely contributed to this accident

Rain and wet roads are making for treacherous driving following the holiday weekend. This accident occurred around 1:20 pm near the Bank of America and “Books” in Lexington Park.

This crash did not cause any injuries, however there was a fatal pile-up in Calvert around 8a.m. (which was caused by a fleeing driver attempting to elude police in addition to poor weather conditions), and at around 1:45 pm St. Mary’s and Charles County police responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries near Rt. 6.
