At 12:50 p.m. Jan. 5, TFC T. Quade of the Leonardtown barrack was contacted by the victim of an assault case while the officer was leaving court.

The victim said that the suspectโ€™s mother, Candy Maxine Carroll, 43, of Park Hall, was in court and she was afraid Carroll would be waiting for her outside of court.

TFC Quade escorted the victim out of the building and Carroll was observed parked near the entrance.

Carroll began yelling profanities toward the victim, which drew the attention of several citizens in the area. As TFC Quade approached Carrollโ€™s vehicle, she began backing up and continued yelling profanities. TFC Quade made contact with Carroll and advised her she needed to leave in an orderly fashion.

Carroll put the vehicle in drive, lurched forward, stopped and continued to yell. She was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct. She was taken to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
