
WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH
THURSDAY MORNING
BALTIMORE, Md. – The National Weather Service has announced a protracted winter storm will move into the region late Wednesday and persist into Friday. Significant snow is possible. For those locations most likely to see heavy snow Wednesday night, a Winter Storm Watch is now in effect. Watches may be expanded east as confidence increases.
* WHAT: Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8
inches possible.
* WHERE: Portions of western Maryland, western Virginia and
eastern West Virginia.
* WHEN: From Wednesday evening through Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Additional snow is expected Thursday
afternoon through Friday.
