Maryland State Police and St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Loveville Tavern on Point Lookout Road in Loveville on Saturday, August 23rd around 2 a.m. for a disturbance.
Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and a vehicle had struck a woman and immediately fled the scene shortly after.
The shooter was characterized as a black male in his early 20s.
No injuries were reported at this time.
The woman reportedly driving the pickup truck, Tina Marie Perkins, 50 of Waldorf was arrested and charged with negligent and reckless driving, attempting to operate a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, failure to stop at scene of accident involving bodily injury, failure of driver involved in accident to render reasonable assistance to an injured person.
