ANNAPOLIS, Md. – On June 28 at 1:33 a.m., the Annapolis Police Department responded to a business located on Bay Ridge Road.
According to police, an adult female suspect entered the business and approached the counter. The suspect displayed a handgun to the clerk and demanded money. She stole money from the store and then fled the area on foot. Officers arrived and located the suspect near Bay Ridge Road and Bay Ridge Avenue.
A loaded handgun was found inside the woman’s purse. Sherreka Aytch, 36, of Annapolis was arrested and will be charged with armed robbery and other related charges.
She is currently awaiting her initial hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
