On November 20, 2010 at 11:35 a.m., Tpr. S. Casarella responded to the McKay’s Food in Leonardtown for a reported theft.
Upon arrival, contact was made with a male complainant, 42, of Leonardtown who advised he observed a female subject attempted to pay for a portion of items in her possession but exited the retail establishment without paying for the remainder.
Upon being stopped by the complainant, the female exited the store. A lookout was broadcasted informing law enforcement personnel of the vehicle the suspect was driving.
Vickie Carter Woodland, 40, of Avenue was located several miles from the location and placed under arrest for Theft Under $100.00. Woodland was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
