While patrolling the area of state Route 2/4 at Broomes Island Road in St. Leonard on July 26 at 6:35 a.m., DFC Carl Fischer conducted a traffic stop on a suspected drunk driver.

Later identified as Rosanne Elizabeth Nial, 30 of Park Hall, the driver was subsequently arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Nial was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia, a copper wire pad with burnt edges (used to aid in the ingestion of crack cocaine into the body) and a small corner of a plastic bag containing trace amounts of a white powdery substance, suspected to be crack cocaine.

Nial was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
