A 43-year-old Waldorf woman pulled into the path of an oncoming school bus, injuring four in a crash at 7:29 a.m. Nov. 7.

Charles County Sheriffโ€™s Office reports Susan Ann Jennings, driving a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban, was stopped at the Middletown Road flashing red traffic light at Marshall Corner Road. When she proceeded through the intersection, her vehicle entered the path of a Charles County school bus traveling east on Marshall Corner Road, and the vehicles collided. Jenningsโ€™ vehicle then struck a 1993 Honda Civic stopped on Turkey Hill Road for the traffic signal.

The driver of the Civic, Leketcha Tarrat Chase, 22, of La Plata, sustained incapacitating injuries and was transported to Civista Medical Center. Two boys, aged 10 and 13 years, and a 14-year-old girl riding in Jenningsโ€™ vehicle were also transported to Civista Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.

Neither Jennings nor the driver of the school bus, Robert Wayne Gue, 53, of Indian Head, were injured. Gue was the sole occupant of the bus.

Jennings was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way. Officer R. Glover investigated.
