UPDATE Oct. 21ย ย  Official Press Release

On October 20, 2010, officers responded to a residence in Park Hall,ย for an armed robbery.ย ย Officers on the scene determined two masked men broke into an occupied residence in Park Hall, Maryland and restrained the female occupant at knifepoint.ย  The masked men ransacked the residence looking for money and other valuables.ย  The men fled the scene on foot.ย 

ย While responding officers were en-route to the call they were informed that family members had located one of the suspects and detained him awaiting police arrival.ย  The second suspect fled on foot.ย  When officers arrived on the scene the man provided several false names and was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations.ย  Detectives identified him as William Lewis Lawrence, age 23, of Lexington Park. Lawrence had two outstanding warrants from other law enforcement agencies including a Violation of Probation for Armed Robbery and another warrant for Second Degree Assault.ย 

Through an extensive investigation, detectives identified Tyrone Jason Heard, age 27 of Lexington Park, as the second person involved in the robbery and identified Latece C. Greer, age 22, of Lexington Park, as a co-conspirator and accessory.ย  Detectives, along with the St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriffโ€™s Office Emergency Services Team executed a search and seizure warrant at a residence in Lexington Park. Heard was arrested at the residence.ย 

All three suspects were arrested on October 20, 2010, transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center and charged with the following offense:

ย The investigation is still ongoing and additional charges are pending a case review with Stateโ€™s Attorney Richard D. Fritz.ย 


Authorities Investigating Armed Robbery
Authorities in St. Mary’s County are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a residence in Park Hall shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20.

Initial investigation revealed two masked men entered a residence in the 18500 block of Point Lookout Road and tied up an older female inside the home and robbed her at knifepoint. The victim was home alone at the time of the robbery and was able to call a relative an inform them of the incident.
