Nikkita L. Medlinย
Hollywood, MD— On March.14, St.Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Steven Kerby responded to Barnsby Lane in Hollywood for the report of a verbal argument.ย
When Kerby arrived on the scene, he made contact with Nikkita L. Medlin, 24, of Hollywood and the victim, Medlin’s boyfriend. Medlin and the victim were in a verbal argument inside their apartment.
Medlin advised, “the victim started to choke her in the bedroom, and she picked up a four-inch folding knife to protect herself,” according to charging documents.ย
The victim advised she (Medlin) just held the knife to his throat to make him release her. Medlin stated, “she threw a cell phone and when the victim ducked he cut his ear. The victim was upset because he went out without her when the victim was leaving and getting his belongings Medlin started scratching him with her fingernails,” according to charging documents.ย
Medlin had no marks on her neck. However, the victim had a five inch cut behind his left ear and three small scratches on his chest. Medlin was arrested and transported to the St.Mary’s County Detention Center where she was charged with first-degree assault.ย
At this time, Medlin does not have a scheduled court date. Medlin faces a maximum jail sentence of 25 years.ย
