Indian Head, MD – State authorities are investigating an incident where unknown suspects attempted to set fire to a motor vehicle in Charles County. According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office, in incident involving a Chevrolet Tahoe occurred Sunday morning April 23 on Raymond Avenue in Indian Head. A discovery was made by a passerby at approximately 7:45 a.m.

“Unknown suspect(s) intentionally placed a trail of shoelaces from the vehicle’s gas tank to the opposite end of the road,” a deputy state fire marshal reported. “The suspect(s) then attempted to ignite the shoelaces but were unsuccessful.”

No damage was sustained and no firefighters were summoned by authorities.
