Deputy State Fire Marshals have charged a 16 year-old male juvenile after he activated the fire alarm system at Great Mills High School today.
The fire alarm pull station was activated at approximately 9:30 a.m. An investigation involving the Office of the State Fire Marshal, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s School Resource Officer and Great Mills High School staff revealed the juvenile intentionally pulled the handle on the alarm causing the evacuation of the building.
The juvenile has been charged with causing a False Alarm and was released to the custody of his guardian pending actions by the Department of Juvenile Services.
