  1. Thinking realistically and thoughtfully . Foremost, my condolences to family and friends ..
Now for realism . What caused this ?
    1 A 17 year old with a medical issue , highly unlikely.
    2 . Mechanical issue, maybe .
3 .Swerved to miss a deer or other animal ,maybe .
    Aside from items 1 2 3 , What did cause this ?
Highly likely driver error and a 17 year old cut loose too soon for the responsibility to operate a vehicle ..harsh as this may be it is reality
This young man dies in vane if we do not use this horrible incident to mentor to others .
Aside from items 1 2 3, was this preventable ?.. It would appear it could have been .
Reality can be harsh , yet the reality of loosing a family member and friend lasts a life time for those left behind to remember .

    1. Cut loose to early?????
He was 17 year old, with enough HS credits to graduate at 16. That morning he was on his way to CSM to take COLLEGE COURSES. His future was beyond bright! Anyone that knew Cj would tell you that he was a mature, wise and respectful soul. He simply made the mistake of operating his vehicle to fast without a seat belt.

I will say this to anyone, young or old reading this: One of the Biggest lessons one can learn in life: Don’t ever think it can’t happen to you…..be careful on those backroads and ALWAYS wear your seatbelt.

    2. I don’t think you know what realism is. If you meant you are going to be ‘real’ with us, hand down tough life lessons and such, I’ll be real with you and urge you to examine that in yourself. How did writing that post make you feel and why? What end was served? Why could the explanation only be one of these three other options? Do you understand how much the adversaries of the United States are cheering for you, and at the same time cheering for your ideological opponents? United we stand, divided we fall. And the virtue signaling from your throne of superiority isn’t helping. If you want to save a 17 year old, be a good parent to your own children. Get involved in the community and mentor a young person. Don’t broadcast an apparent lack of empathy in a comment to a tragic news article.

      1. Ok first of all this person has no right to call any parent bad. Imagine loosing your oldest child to simply a mistake on the road. Have some sympathy and remorse for the mother you are calling bad because as if her job isn’t already hard enough raising children in this cruel world . Also dont forget she just lost her baby boy, the child she has been raising for 17+ years. You should be ashamed of yourself for even parting your lips to say something like this.

  2. CJ was one of the best most mature people and had a bright future ahead of him, he just made the simple mistake of going too fast without a seatbelt, but for you to say its his parents fault for his death is utterly disgusting they raised him with the best attitude and were great role models. They are dealing with the loss of there son but for you to add that with no sympathy is insane
