
Chesapeake Beach, MD — Two people were arrested after Calvert County Deputies responded to a complaint about their behavior at the Taste of the Beach event in Chesapeake Beach on Saturday.
Two Citizens flagged down a deputy and reported that subjects were being disorderly with staff at Taste of the Beach.
While the deputy was talking to the suspects, Stephen Matthew Greenwell Jr.,30, dropped a white fold with suspected heroin out of his wallet.
He was told to place the fold on the deputy’s vehicle but instead opened the fold and dumped the substance inside on the ground. Greenwell Jr. was placed under arrest.ย
Tammy Marie Brown, 33, returned to her vehicle after being told not to and was also placed under arrest.
A search of the vehicle turned up a white pill and two cut straws with white powdery residue.
Greenwell Jr. and Brownย were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center. Greenwell Jr. was charged with CDS:
Possession-Not Marijuana, CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia, Obstructing and Hindering and Altering Physical Evidence in a Criminal Procedure.
Brown was charged with CDS: Possession- Not Marijuana and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.
