WOODLAWN, Md. — We are receiving reports of a 2.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred near Baltimore County earlier today.

At approximately 3:40 p.m. on June 25, the United States Geological Survey(USGS) confirmed a quake rippled through the Baltimore area.

The epicenter of the quake reportedly was placed less than a mile southeast of Woodlawn Maryland, according to The Baltimore Sun.

Damage that the earthquake may have caused is still unknown. We will continue to provide updates as we receive them.
