WHITE PLAINS, Md. — A 77-year-old man was hospitalized Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle in a White Plains parking lot.

The incident was reported shortly after 11:20 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2026, at the Wawa gas station along Crain Highway and Billingsley Road. Callers told dispatchers the man had been hit by an express van and was bleeding heavily from a head wound.

Despite the injury, the man was reported to be awake and breathing when first responders arrived. Paramedics stabilized him at the scene, applied a cervical collar, and transported him to UM Capital Region Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
