82-Year-Old Man Injured After Being Thrown From Tractor In Pomfret; Airlifted To Trauma Center

POMFRET, Md. — An 82-year-old man was injured Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 2, 2025, after being thrown from a tractor in Charles County.

Emergency crews were called about 3:35 p.m. to the 4500 block of Chapel Springs Place in Pomfret. The 911 caller stated the tractor struck a stump, throwing the man off and leaving him with severe rib pain.

First responders reported the man appeared disoriented and intermittently responsive at the scene. He was flown by United States Park Police Helicopter Eagle 2 to UM Capital Region Medical Center, a trauma center in Largo, with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
