LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Join the St. Mary’s Arts Council and artist Jami Faith of Elsewise Art at the St. Mary’s Arts Council Gallery & Gift Shop for a reception honoring this year’s Tiny Art Show.
The show and reception are located at the St. Mary’s County Arts Council Gallery & Gift Shop at 22660 Washington St., Leonardtown.
The reception will honor the show’s opening and take place on Leonardtown’s First Friday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. You can check out the show from 5 to 8 p.m. The show is on display through Saturday, Dec. 20. The gallery will be closed Nov. 26, 27 and 28 for Thanksgiving week but will reopen for regular hours on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 29. Both the show and the reception are free to the public.
Jami will also host a Tiny Art activity during the First Friday event. You’ll have the opportunity to meet the artists, see their work and even buy some art. Tiny Art makes great, whimsical holiday gifts for people in your life. Artists set their prices, so you also have the chance to support local artists and impact the community.
Inspired by similar shows when she lived in the Pacific Northwest, Jami launched the Tiny Art Show in 2024. This is its second year.
All ages are allowed to participate in the Tiny Art Show, making it a unique opportunity for artists young, old and anywhere in between, working in all mediums. The only requirements for tiny art are that it’s family-friendly and is, yes, tiny. Pieces can’t exceed 4 inches in any direction.
