Patuxent River, MD ย — Participants in the Naval Acquisition Development Program (NADP), all of whom support Naval Air System Commandโ€™s (NAVAIR) Logistics and Industrial Operations (AIR 6.0), toured the Pentagon, headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense, in Washington, D.C. on Nov. 19.

โ€œVisiting the Pentagon was an invaluable experience that gave us the rare opportunity to literally walk the corridors of our nation’s military history,โ€ said Charrelle Johnson, operations research analyst, AIR 6.0C and AIR 6.0 NADP Council vice president. โ€œEvery corridor told a story of the people and experiences that influenced the course of our nation from every military branch, even the 9/11 Memorial.ย  When we finally reached the corridors dedicated and home to the Department of the Navy, we all felt like we were a part of that great story.”

The tour was one of many set up to expose NADP participants to different naval acquisition and NAVAIR program offices and activities.

NADP provides a structured, systematic career development process that equips highly qualified and talented entry level employees with opportunities for rapid advancement, regular promotions, systematic development, career broadening assignments and graduate education.
