ADVISORY: Man Being Flown Out In Leonardtown After Being Shot In The Head

LEONARDTOWN, Md. — A man was recently shot in the back of his head in Leonardtown.

At approximately 6:35 PM on May 22, first responders were dispatched to the area of Fairgrounds Road for reports that a man was shot in the back of the head. Upon arrival crews began to administer CPR.

A helicopter from the Maryland State Police Aviation has been requested to transport the patient to a nearby trauma center. A landing zone has been established at the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds.
