LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — Grocery chain ALDI is set to open its newest location in Lexington Park on Thursday, Dec. 11, bringing its signature low-cost shopping experience to Southern Maryland residents.
Located at 21853 Three Notch Road, Unit 101, the store will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m., about 30 minutes before opening its doors to the public. The ceremony will kick off a day full of giveaways and special promotions for early shoppers.
According to ALDI, the first 100 customers in line will receive a “Golden Ticket”, each worth a mystery amount up to $100. In addition, those first 100 shoppers will receive a free eco-friendly shopping bag filled with ALDI products. Shoppers will also receive a free ALDI-branded tote, while supplies last.
ALDI is encouraging customers to arrive early to participate in the festivities and take advantage of opening-day offers. From Dec. 11 through Dec. 14, shoppers can also enter for a chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card by scanning a code inside the store.

In a statement on its website, ALDI says it’s excited to become part of the community:
“The grand opening for our new grocery store in Lexington Park is right around the corner, and so are your savings… We look forward to being your go-to grocer!”
Known for its efficient store layout and streamlined shopping experience, ALDI offers fresh produce delivered daily, a range of private-label products, and a focus on affordability. Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own bags and a quarter to unlock a cart, a part of ALDI’s model to keep prices low and parking lots tidy.
ALDI’s “Twice as Nice Guarantee” also promises that customers unsatisfied with any ALDI-exclusive product can receive both a refund and a replacement.
More information about the Lexington Park store can be found at ALDI’s store locator.
