Arrest in southern Maryland

GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Police are searching for a suspect after an armed home invasion left a Glen Burnie man injured Tuesday night.

Officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Eastern District responded around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 to a report of a home invasion on Mountain Ridge Court. When they arrived, officers found an adult male who told investigators that an armed man entered his apartment, demanded money, and struck him in the head with a firearm during a confrontation.

Police said the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash before officers arrived. The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries. Authorities said there is no indication the victim and suspect knew each other.

The suspect is described as a Black male in his teens or 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build, last seen wearing black clothing.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Eastern District at 410-222-6145.
