SEVERNA PARK, Md. — Detectives say tips from the public led to the arrest of a Severna Park woman accused of breaking into multiple homes in Anne Arundel and Howard counties earlier this month.
Shannon Kira Gough, 43, was taken into custody Sept. 26, 2025, after investigators executed a search warrant at her Glen Burnie residence and on her vehicle. Officers reported recovering several items tied to recent burglaries.
The case began Sept. 17, when Anne Arundel County police were called to a home in the 100 block of Jennings Road in Severna Park. Officers found evidence of forced entry and theft. Surveillance video released on social media quickly drew responses, generating tips that linked Gough to that incident and to two other burglaries under investigation in Howard County.
With the help of Howard County Police and the Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office, detectives served the warrant that ultimately led to Gough’s arrest. She is charged with multiple counts, including first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary, theft under $1,500 and property destruction. Court records show she faces 11 charges in all.
Gough was ordered to be held without bond. A bail review is scheduled for Sept. 29 at the Glen Burnie District Court.
The case highlights how community tips can accelerate investigations, said law enforcement officials, who credited the public for helping identify a suspect quickly.
