Maryland State Fire Marshalls are investigating a case of arson in Solomons.
Firefighters from Solomon’s VFD responded to 14484 Solomon’s Island Road on May 5 around 12:15 a.m., for the report of a fire. A street sweeper discovered the blaze in a men’s bathroom stall and called 911.
Investigation reveals the fire was the result of unknown suspect(s) igniting toilet paper inside the men’s public restroom. The fire caused minor damage to the wall along with some smoke damage throughout the building.
