Prince Frederick, MD — What do art and math have in common? A new exhibit about to open at the calvART Gallery will answer that question in a show titled “Num6ers and Figure$”. Plan to join Rymer and Associates, P.A. Certified Public Accountants and the artists of CalvART Gallery on Friday, September 9 from 5 to 8 pm at the opening reception to be held in memory of Thomas Rymer, Jr. or stop by the gallery to see this new show.
The show runs from September 7 through October 2. A wide range of artistic expression from painting to wood turning to fused glass will be on view. A silver necklace by Suzanne Nawrot entwines a euro coin engraved with the image of Vitruvian man, Leonardo’s drawing of ideal proportion. Ray Bogle’s ceramics require technical proficiency in the glaze formulations and high firings. An abstract painting by Karen Chambers playfully uses numbers to graphic advantage.
CalvART is pleased to partner with Rymer and Associates, a local business, in supporting the mutual goals of enriching the creative and commercial vitality of Calvert County. The opening reception of this exhibit is honoring the memory of Thomas Rymer, Jr. Thomas Rymer was the founding member of Rymer and Associates.
