Belk’s Charity Sale on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 6:00 – 10:00 a.m., will benefit local charities, schools and nonprofit organizations throughout the company’s 16-state market area. The four-hour in-store shopping event offers an excellent opportunity for customers to support local charities while taking advantage of special discounts of 20-70 percent off on purchases during the event.
“Belk is committed to being involved in our communities and supporting causes important to our customers,” said Jessica Graham, vice president, communications and community relations at Belk. “Each Belk Charity Sale offers us the opportunity to reach thousands of nonprofits across our footprint and to help them raise much needed funds.”
In 2010 Belk’s Charity Sale raised more than $9.5 million for hundreds of participating charitable organizations.
On the morning of the Belk Charity Sale, the first 100 customers in each store will receive free Belk gift cards ranging in value from $5 to $100, and a chance to win one of three $1,000 Belk gift cards awarded company-wide. Each Charity Sale ticket gives customers $5 off their first purchase including cosmetics and fragrances, 25% off shoes, 60% off fine jewelry, 25% off kids, watches, handbags, dresses, juniors, and the list goes on and on. Are you ready to buy your Belk Charity Sale tickets? Purchase them directly from participating non-profit organizations now—charities get to keep 100 percent of profits from each $5 ticket they sell. Beginning Friday, Oct. 28 tickets may also be purchased at Belk stores with all revenues from in-store ticket sales equally divided among participating charities and schools in each local store.
