PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Maryland State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that injured two people on the Benedict Bridge early Wednesday.

At approximately 7:24 a.m. on Dec. 3, 2025, emergency personnel and troopers from the MSP Prince Frederick Barrack were dispatched to the bridge for a reported collision. Responders located a rear-end crash involving two vehicles. State police told The BayNet the incident was not a hit-and-run, which differed from information previously reported by other outlets.

Two occupants were transported by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment.

All lanes on the bridge have since reopened. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
