Bicyclist attacked, cigarettes stolen

Annapolis, MD — A bicyclist was was attacked and robbed on Sunday afternoon in the 900 block of Van Buren Street in Annapolis. 

Around 5:20 p.m., a man was riding his bicycle when he noticed that a grey or silver older model four-door sedan was following him. 

The front passenger opened the car door and tried to hit him. The rear passenger also opened a door and hit the bicyclist with it, causing him to fall to the sidewalk.

Three men got out of the car and began to punch and kick the victim. When the victim called for help, they took his pack of cigarettes and left the scene. He suffered abrasions to his elbow, but declined medical treatment.
