CLEMENTS, Md. – The excitement of the Run for the Roses is returning to Bowles Farm as the Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad hosts its annual Kentucky Derby Watch Party and $10,000 Raffle on Saturday evening, May 2.

The festive fundraiser invites guests to embrace their best Derby attire while enjoying a live broadcast of the legendary Kentucky Derby, famously known as the โ€œRun for the Roses.โ€

Attendees will have the opportunity to place fun โ€œbetsโ€ on their favorite horse before the big race, adding to the excitement of the live viewing. Derby-themed games, a money wheel and other interactive activities are planned throughout the evening. Prizes will be awarded for Best Hat, Best Dress and Best Dressed Couple, highlighting the creativity and flair that make Derby fashion a tradition of its own. The evening promises a lively mix of food, drinks, games and friendly competition โ€” all in support of a meaningful cause.

The highlight of the evening is the $10,000 grand prize raffle fundraiser. Tickets are $100 each and include entry to the event and a chance to win the $10,000 prize. Only 300 tickets will be sold. Last year, the raffle sold out.

In addition to the top prize, 23 other raffle prizes totaling $3,900 will be drawn throughout the evening, keeping the excitement going and giving guests even more chances to win. Proceeds from the Derby Watch Party and raffle will benefit the squadโ€™s Building Renovation Fund, helping the Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad continue serving the community with upgraded facilities and resources.

In addition to the Derby Watch Party and $10,000 Raffle, a Bluegrass Day featuring the Bluegrass Brothers and Dark Hollow is scheduled for June 6 at the St. Maryโ€™s County Fairgrounds.
