UPDATE – A subject has been taken into custody in Leonardtown in relation to this incident. There is no indication that there is any threat to the public. This investigation is being handled MSP.
LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – On January 3, 2025, at approximately 11:11 a.m., police and emergency personnel responded to shots fired and a motor vehicle crash on Liberty Street near Pegg Road.
Police arrived first on the scene to find the single-vehicle crash with one occupant suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The scene was secured with CPR in progress. Shortly later the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

Can we just patrol the hell out of that area??? Pegg Rd. has been a problem for 20 some years, why can’t we get that area straight?

Your friend is a dingus. There have been plenty shootings and murders in this county many years ago. Decades, centuries even (fainting couch please).
born and raised here& yes it’s very disappointing and scary and sad the last 10-15 years have gotten out of control! Most of the crime that’s come to this small county doing these violent acts aren’t even from here. It’s awful.
Shootings/murders DID happen, even before the Navy arrived.
