
Brian Edward Lococo, 64, of La Plata, Maryland, passed away on December 2, 2024, at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center following complications from choking.
Born May 2, 1960, in Washington County, Pennsylvania, Brian was the son of the late Helen Gluvna Lococo and Robert Henry Lococo. He spent his early years in Piney Point and Valley Lee, Maryland. Over the years, he made his home in St. Georgeโs Island and Hollywood, where he worked as a commercial waterman and an experienced climber in the tree service industry.
After a life-altering injury from a fall while on the job, Brian spent the last 15 years at a nursing facility in La Plata. Despite the challenges he faced, his resilience and unique sense of humor remained with him.
He is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Lococo Mitchell of Pikeville, NC, and Amber Mae Lococo of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren, Maria, Brooke, and Carsyn, all of Pikeville; and his brother, Robert Bruce Lococo of Olathe, KS. Brian was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother Richard J. Lococo.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on May 2, 2025, at 38888 Dr. Johnson Road, Mechanicsville, Maryland, with a private interment to follow at St. Maryโs Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life gathering later that day from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Second District Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad in Valley Lee, Maryland.
