Update — 5:43pm. Firefighters from Charles County and St. Mary’s County continue to battle the brush fire which is rapidly spreading due to high winds.
LaPlata Md. — Nov. 20. 4:39pm. A brush fire has been reported in the 6000 block of Hawthorne Road. Charles County firefighters are on the scene and asking St. Mary’s County to assist.
