BRYANS ROAD, Md. — A 49-year-old Bryans Road woman is facing a new round of charges, including malicious destruction of property and violating a protective order, after she allegedly smashed a window at a private residence in a destructive attempt to gain entry. Court records show this case is the latest in a series of domestic-related charges filed against her this month.
According to charging documents filed by the victim, the suspect, identified as Sandra R. Wills, 49, of Bryans Road, allegedly shattered a family room window and damaged the screen with a metal object during the Aug. 27 incident at a home on Archway Lane. The victim, who reported witnessing the event, estimated the damage and replacement cost at about $2,500.
Court records indicate the alleged property destruction also violated an active protective order. Records show Wills was served with a summons on Sept. 3, 2025, for allegedly violating the order during the Aug. 27 incident.
Court filings also show another case was filed against Wills on Aug. 21, 2025, for unauthorized removal of a motor vehicle. In that matter, the same victim reported that Wills took his vehicle without permission for eight days.
Wills now faces multiple misdemeanor charges across three cases, including malicious destruction of property valued at more than $1,000, unauthorized removal of a motor vehicle and violation of a protective order. Under Maryland law, the property destruction charge alone carries a maximum penalty of up to three years in prison and a fine of up to $2,500.
Court records show a preliminary inquiry for all three cases is scheduled for Oct. 20, 2025, in Charles County District Court.
