The Calvert County Department of Economic Development has never been able to help. Unless you know someone or are related to someone in the county, you are on your own. I got one phone call after I filled out a survey. She listened, and then nothing – crickets.
Due to my hard work and tenacity, my business has been going strong (no thanks to the state or this county) since June 1, 2015, and no mention of us. No stories, no “welcome” articles… nothing. But they sure know how to make contact when they want something from me, a bill, a new fee, or ludicrous claim… It was the biggest mistake of my life opening in Maryland, and Calvert County. Never again, and when it sells, since I have no other options, I’m out of here.
