PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – Two staff members from the Calvert County Department of Community Resources, Office on Aging, have earned national specialist certifications.

Jenna Cisse and Kristy Matchett each earned the Inform USA Certified Community Resource Specialist Certification, a professional credential awarded to individuals working in the information and referral sector of human services.

The Community Resource Specialist certification is designed for practitioners who work directly with clients, either by phone or in person, and provide information and referrals to community services. To earn the certification, candidates must demonstrate
competency in key areas and pass a comprehensive exam.

“Our department’s frontline staff strive to provide the best customer service possible for Calvert County residents. These certifications are the result of their dedication and professionalism,” said Jennifer Moreland, director of Community Resources.

The Calvert County Office on Aging provides a broad range of programs and services to help older adults maintain the best possible quality of life.
