The Calvert County Board of Education recognized school Volunteers of the Year on June 17, 2010. The service of these school-selected recipients was highlighted in a program recognizing their individual contributions.ย 

Volunteers provide service in many different ways, and this service includes work done at school sites and facilities as well as work done at home.

To date, schools have reported a total of 32, 373 volunteer hours. The 2009-2010 service year continues throughout the summer as volunteers provide assistance as schools close in June and prepare to re-open in August for a new school year.

The following volunteers were selected by their schools because of the outstanding service they provided to students and staff:
