PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – During the week of April 5 – April 11, deputies of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,262 calls for service throughout the community.

Burglary: 2021-17820
On April 6, 2021, DFC C. Callison responded to the 7-Eleven located at 15 N. Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick, MD for the report of a possible burglary. The complainant advised an unidentified black male forced entry into the locked establishment by kicking the glass door. The complainant confronted the intruder and the intruder then exited the store. It is unknown if anything was stolen from store. The estimated value of damaged property is $500.00.

Damaged Property: 2021-17882
On April 6, 2021, Deputy R. Hardy responded to the 8000 block of Pine Blvd. in Lusby, MD for the report of property destruction. The complainant advised the back window of her vehicle had been broken and shattered. The estimated value of damaged property is $400.00.

Damaged Property: 2021-17744
On April 5, 2021, Deputy J. Flynt responded to the 1000 block of Mary Court in Huntingtown, MD for the report of damaged property. The complainant advised on April 4, he heard gunshots and the sound as if something had hit his home. The following day, two bullet holes were discovered in the deck railing and a 9 mm bullet was found lying on the deck. The value of damaged property is unknown at this time. 

Damaged Property: 2021-17914
On April 6, 2021, Deputy A. Dymond responded to the 3700 block of 3rd Street in North Beach, MD for a reported destruction of property. The complainant advised between the hours of 11:30 p.m. on April 4th and 10 a.m. on April 5th, an unknown suspect vandalized the roof of her truck bed cap with graffiti. The value of damaged property is unknown at this time.


ARRESTS:

Clifton Gregory Smith II, 31

On April 5, 2021, DFC R. Shrawder conducted a traffic stop on Thunderbird Drive in the area of Mesa Trail in Lusby, MD. While making contact with the driver, Clifton Gregory Smith II, 31 of Prince Frederick, MD, Smith advised he had a mason jar full of marijuana in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, a backpack containing 63.5 grams of marijuana was found. Smith was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession of Marijuana 10 GM+.


Hunter James Eldridge, 22

On April 7, 2021, DFC Y. Bortchevsky conducted a traffic stop in the area of 510 N. Solomons Island Rd. in Prince Frederick, MD. While making contact with the driver, Hunter James Eldridge, 22 of Sumner, GA, DFC Bortchevsky noticed a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed four baggies of marijuana, a scale and a metal grinder. Eldridge was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where he was charged with CDS: Possession of Marijuana 10 GM+.


Oscar Edmundo Mulato-Mancia, 56

On April 7, 2021, DFC Y. Bortchevsky responded the area of the Firehouse Subs located at 641 N. Solomons Island Road in Prince Frederick, MD for the report of an intoxicated person. Contact was made with Oscar Edmundo Mulato-Mancia, 56 of Bethesda, MD, who refused to vacate the premise. Mulato-Mancia was emitting a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage from his person, had slurred speech, and disheveled clothing scattered around him on the ground. Mulato-Mancia was offered transportation and shelter, but continually refused. Mulato-Mancia was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.
