PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — CalvertHealth Medical Center welcomed its first baby of 2026, a baby boy named Lincoln Errol Prinsen. Lincoln was born at 7:56 a.m. to proud parents Jessica and Kirk Prinsen.

CalvertHealth wrote in a post that Lincoln is a healthy baby boy, weighing 8 pounds, 3.1 ounces, and measuring 19 inches long. “His arrival marked a joyful start to the new year for his family and for the care team who had the privilege of welcoming CalvertHealth’s New Year’s baby.”

In addition to being a bundle of joy for his parents, being the first baby of the year means Lincoln helps usher in hope and optimism for the new year. People around the county can join in celebrating with his family and care team.

For those who like to follow astrology, a Jan. 1 birthday makes little Lincoln a Capricorn. Capricorn’s sign is a sea goat, and it is one of three Earth signs, alongside Virgo and Taurus. Capricorns are known to be grounded, realistic and responsible. They often have a strong work ethic, make excellent leaders and are deeply loyal to their family.

But like all babies born this year and beyond, Lincoln’s future will be his to shape, and we are confident it looks bright.

Congratulations to Jessica and Kirk on the birth of their son, Lincoln, from all of his fans in Calvert County!
