William Ray Albaugh III
Barstow, MD – On March 25, Deputy Aranda responded to the Calvert County Detention Center for the report of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) violation. A search of the suspect—identified as William Ray Albaugh III, 22 of Owings—revealed a clear capsule with white powder inside of it, along with a piece of aluminum foil with multiple burn marks. Albaugh informed detention center staff that the white powder inside the capsule is “probably fentanyl.” Albaugh was charged with possession of contraband in a place of confinement, CDS possession-not marijuana and CDS possession of paraphernalia.
A court docket summary shows tha Albaugh was in the detention center on charges of violation of a protective order, harassment, telephone misuse and electric mail harassment. Albaugh is being held without bond. A District Court trial on those charges is tentatively scheduled for May 15. All of the charges against Albaugh, including the recent drug charges, are misdemeanors.
