PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A father and son from Lusby were arrested after a reported theft at a Walmart in Prince Frederick led to the recovery of stolen merchandise and suspected drug paraphernalia, according to court documents.

Robert Lee Andujar, 46, and Joshua Dillard Andujar, 23, were taken into custody on March 20, 2026, following an investigation at the Walmart located along North Solomons Island Road.

Deputies responded to the store around 9:06 p.m. for a reported theft and made contact with a loss prevention employee, who indicated the suspect was still inside. The employee told deputies he recognized the individual from a prior theft incident and observed him again inside the store that evening.

According to charging documents, the suspect — later identified as Joshua Andujar — was seen taking boxes of NFL trading cards from the toy section and concealing them inside his clothing.

Deputies located Joshua inside the store and detained him without incident. He was found in possession of multiple packs of trading cards, as well as empty boxes believed to have been opened inside the store. Joshua reportedly admitted he intended to leave without paying and planned to sell the cards for money.

During the investigation, deputies made contact with Robert Andujar, who was identified as Joshua’s father and the driver of a Lexus parked outside the store. A search of the vehicle revealed additional opened and unopened packs of trading cards matching those taken from the store.

While searching the vehicle, deputies also discovered a rolled dollar bill containing a white powdery substance. Investigators noted that such items are commonly used to ingest controlled dangerous substances.

Further investigation led deputies to locate additional items on Robert Andujar, including unopened packs of trading cards. Authorities said Robert could not provide proof of purchase for the items.

Officials estimated the total value of merchandise taken by Joshua at approximately $126.93, while the items associated with Robert totaled about $18.95.

Both men were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center following their arrests.

Joshua Andujar was charged with theft between $100 and $1,500, while Robert Andujar was charged with theft under $100 and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records show both men were later released on their own recognizance on March 21, 2026, just one day after their arrest.

A hearing is set for May 8, 2026 in Calvert District Court for Joshua Andujar.
