On Tuesday, Oct. 30, the Charles County Sheriffโs Office issued a press release and surveillance photos seeking the identity of a woman who was allegedly using a stolen credit card at a local drug store.ย The following day, the Sheriffโs Office was contacted by a manager at the drug store who indicated the store employees provided officers with the wrong photo. The Sheriffโs Office immediately contacted all media (via email) and requested the release and photos be removed from any public site. Detectives responded back to the drug store and met with the manager who provided investigators with the correct surveillance photo (which will be released when it becomes available). The CCSO apologizes for the mistake and will review the matter to prevent any further incidents.ย ย
