WALDORF, Md. — It’s confirmed — Flavor Hive is officially bringing its viral food concept to Waldorf, and locals are already lining up for a first taste.

The fast-growing halal fusion brand, which has built a massive following online with more than 1.7 million Instagram followers, will open a new brick-and-mortar restaurant inside the former Boston’s Restaurant building. Staff on-site confirmed the business will take over one side of the space, while The Creek is expected to occupy the other.

Construction will be underway soon, and a manager of the food truck confirmed the timeline is approximately four months, putting the anticipated opening around mid-to-late summer.

Flavor Hive quietly launched at the location earlier this week, giving Southern Maryland residents an early preview. According to staff, the truck first opened Sunday, making Tuesday its third night in operation.

The truck is currently open weekdays from 6 to 10 p.m., with extended hours from noon to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Orders are walk-up only, with no online ordering available.

Known for its viral “bring-your-own-bag” concept, Flavor Hive lets customers show up with anything customers bring from a bag of Doritos to breadsticks and have it filled with halal meats, toppings, and sauces. The menu features options such as rice bowls, loaded fries, salad bowls and quesadillas, all customizable with a variety of toppings and halal proteins. Prices start at $10, with vegan options also available.

The Waldorf location at 10440 O’Donnell Place is part of Flavor Hive’s expansion across the DMV, with multiple locations in development.
