WHITE PLAINS, Md. — The Center for Abused Persons (CAP) will host its 6th Annual “Steps To End Violence Everywhere (STEVE) 5K” on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Indian Head Rail Trail in White Plains.

The event invites runners and walkers of all ages to participate in support of efforts to end domestic and sexual violence in Southern Maryland. Organizers say the goal of the annual race is to raise both awareness and funds to support victims of abuse and strengthen prevention efforts in the community.

The race will be held at 10400 Theodore Green Blvd., White Plains, MD 20695. Check-in and race day registration begin at 8 a.m., with the race starting at 10 a.m. Parking will be available at the race site.

The course is an out-and-back paved trail, making it accessible for runners, walkers and families. The race will be professionally timed and managed by Blue Cheetah Sports Timing.

Participants who pre-register by March 29 are guaranteed to receive an event T-shirt.

All proceeds from the event benefit victims of abuse and programs aimed at ending violence in Charles County.
