Alumni and current students gathered for a small race last weekend, to earn their bragging rights, and to say goodbye to the boathouse that has served the school’s champion sailors for over 40 years.

 Mary’s College sailing team have won ten national titles and produced some of sailing’s greatest athletes from the shelter of their humble wooden boathouse.

One famous alumnus of the St. Mary’s College sailing program, Randall Steele, an Olympic silver medalist, talked about his memories of the years past in the video interview above.

The construction of the new boathouse should be finished by the end of 2007, and will be a fitting new home for the world-class team.
