CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. — July 12, 2025
Emergency crews responded Saturday afternoon to reports of a toddler drowning at a residence on the 37000 block of Lockes Crossing Road in Charlotte Hall.
First responders from St. Mary’s County were dispatched just before 2:30 p.m. for a report of a 3-year-old male possibly drowning. According to initial alerts, CPR was already in progress when emergency personnel arrived on scene.
According to dispatch advanced life-saving measures were initiated as medics raced to stabilize the child’s condition. At least one EMS transport unit responded to the call.
Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident or the child’s current condition. The address is located in a rural residential area northeast of Route 6 and Golden Beach Road.
As of this writing, there is no confirmation on whether the incident occurred in a pool, pond, or another body of water.
