CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. – The Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Chesapeake Beach would like to invite all residents, families, friends and neighbors to join us for the annual George W. Owings, III Stars and Stripes Festival this upcoming Saturday, May 24, 2025. The ceremony begins at 10am at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Chesapeake Beach (8217 Bayside Road) followed by Family Fun Day at Kellam’s Field (3825 Gordon Stinnett Ave.) from 12pm to 2pm.
The Town strives to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day with our chosen theme for this year, “Honoring Heroes and Celebrating Freedom”. Join our Master of Ceremonies, Brandon Temple, along with special guest speakers Mayor Mike Benton of North Beach and Calvert County Sheriff Ricky Cox at Veteran’s Memorial Park this Memorial Day Weekend.
Following the Ceremony, join us at Kellam’s Field for Family Fun Day! Guests can enjoy the summer sounds of the Ryan Forrester Band, a catered lunch from Traders Seafood Steak and Ale, sponsored by the Town, along with games and activities for the whole family, including the return of our rock climbing wall! Join us on the field from 12pm to 2pm. This event is free and open to the public.
